Overview
We are celebrating 19 years of empowering thousands of courageous orphans, widows and vulnerable children across Kenya; one person, one family and one community at a time. Our esteemed keynote speaker, Beatrice Williamson, is one of very few women leaders, in all of Africa, who is determined to break the vicious cycle of poverty and enhance the quality of life for every child we serve. Her warmth and resilient spirit will inspire you to help us transform lives for generations to come.
Thanks to a generous matching donor, every ticket and sponsorship commitment for the 19th Annual Light the Future Gala will be doubled, multiplying the impact of each gift for Maisha’s students, families, and communities in Kenya.

What Your Sponsorship Makes Possible
When you sponsor the Annual Light the Future Gala, you are helping build the system that allows children to eat, learn, grow, heal, and lead. Maisha’s work moves through five connected pillars: education, health, empowerment, missions, and infrastructure. Together, these pillars turn generosity into lasting community transformation in Kenya.
7 Million School Meals Served Since 2020
Your sponsorship helps children arrive at school ready to learn, with the nutrition and stability they need to stay in class and keep moving forward.
9,689+ Students Supported Daily in 2025
Your gift strengthens education, mentorship, school support, and safe learning environments for students who deserve more than short-term aid. They deserve opportunity.
Agroforestry and Food Security
Your sponsorship helps Maisha grow a stronger farm-to-school model, connecting climate-smart agriculture, nutritious food, and long-term local resilience.
Vocational Training and Economic Mobility
Your support helps young people and caregivers gain practical skills in agriculture, enterprise, financial literacy, and livelihood development.
100,800+ Clinic Patients Served Since 2013
Your gift expands access to health care, nutrition, maternal and child health, and preventative support for families who need care close to home.
The Multiplier
Maisha’s integrated model creates measurable value across its five pillars, with the 2025 Impact Report estimating a combined 2.61x social return on investment. This year, thanks to a generous matching donor, every gala ticket and sponsorship commitment will be doubled. Your sponsorship helps feed children today while building the systems that can transform their tomorrow.
ONE MILLION DOLLARS • ONE MILLION SEEDS • ONE MILLION TREES
Our 19th Annual Gala will focus on the launch of Maisha’s largest campaign to date, our One Million Trees Campaign. This is a major step in Maisha’s effort to plant one million moringa trees and build a generational food, nutrition, and household income system for thousands of students, families, farmers, and partner schools. Moringa is central to Maisha’s next decades of growth as these powerful trees connect directly to food security, student nutrition, regenerative agriculture, family income, and long-term community resilience. Through this campaign, Maisha is partnering to provide seeds, training, and agriculture inputs in the hands of students, families, and local growers while also strengthening our broader model of supporting schools, farms, and community enterprise.
