From Strong Foundations to Future Ready Classrooms
Maisha Academy has demonstrated what is possible when children receive consistent support, nutritious food, effective teaching, and a safe place to learn. Alumni have progressed into secondary school, university, and careers in education, health, business, and more.
Did You Know? Each year we at Maisha Academy support more than 2,300 student access to safe drinking water and have provided more than 1,500 students with academic scholarships? To learn more about our impact visit our 2025 impact report.
Kenya’s Competency Based Curriculum and the shift of the decisive national examination to Grade 9 increase expectations for hands-on education, classroom design, and technology-enabled instruction. To keep Maisha students competitive nationally and globally, the learning environment now requires modernization for a 25-year horizon.
Classrooms That Work, Ready for an Upgrade
Maisha Academy’s classrooms are structurally sound and safe. Teachers deliver instruction daily, and students have dedicated desks. However, many rooms reflect 2012 era standards rather than 2026 expectations.
This campaign upgrades teaching spaces so classrooms align with the quality already established in other campus improvements, and so classrooms can fully leverage stable electricity as Maisha continues strengthening solar infrastructure.
